P. Blackk teams up with production legend J. Rawls to give us a stellar offering in Contemporary Nostalgia. This was a highly anticipated project for me personally because I hold P. in high regard as an artist. He always delivers great content in style. Teaming up with J. Rawls finds P. doing lyrical somersaults over varied production. All guest appearances from Baker’s Club members and frequent collaborators Fabrashay A and King Vada are also stellar.
While I like his 2011 release, Blackk Friday – entirely produced by Iyeball of Fly Union – more, it would be stupid to say he came up short on this project. It’s simply a matter of personal preference. Cultivate yours by listening below.
